MILITARY SPECIFICATION
SPREADER, MATERIAL, POWER DRIVEN,
TRUCK MOUNTED, COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by the Naval Facilities
Engineering Command, Department of the Navy, and is available for
use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
SCOPE
1.
1.1 Scope. This specification covers a hydraulically driven material
spreader for spreading sand and aggregates or abrasive materials on road
surfaces.
Spreaders shall be of the following types, as specified
1.2 Classification.
(see 6.2).
Type I - Truck Chassis Mounted.
Type II - Dump Body Mounted.
