started and subjected to a warmup period as recommended by the manufacturer.
Roller shall be operated for not less than 30 minutes. Travel speed shall be

mechanism(s) actuated to establish proof of compliance with 3.9, 3.15, and
3.21, respectively. All controls and switches shall be operated as many times
as necessary to determine ease of operation, effectiveness, responsiveness,
and that mechanisms actuated by the controls operate promptly, fully, and
without restriction, malfunction, or excessive vibration. The power train,
bearings, shafts, and other easily accessible moving parts shall be tactilely
examined for excessive heating or abnormal operation insofar as is practicable.
Failure to pass any phase of this test shall be cause for rejection.
